Scoliosis Association UK (SAUK) is the only UK wide patient support organisation for people with scoliosis and their families. Their aim is to provide advice, support, and information to people affected by scoliosis and their families and raise awareness of scoliosis among health professionals and the general public. They are there for people with scoliosis and those close to them, help to reduce feelings of isolation, poor body image, inadequate care, needless pain, worry, fear and lack of information.

British Scoliosis Society – BSS (http://www.britscoliosissoc.org.uk)
The objectives of the British Scoliosis Society are to provide a forum for the study of the origin, natural history and treatment of spinal deformities. To pursue these objectives, the society shall:
- Attempt to ensure the highest possible standards of management for individuals with spinal deformities;
- Promote, finance and organise research and development in the field of spinal deformities;
- Educate the community in general, and medical practitioners and associated professionals in the most effective methods of recognition, prevention, treatment and long term management of spinal deformities;
- The society may accumulate funds and receive donations to further the above objectives.
